Anatomical body is an interactive work by Maflohé Passedouet.
The artwork centres on a video projection of an image whose base is at least 3 m long. An infrared camera captures the movements of visitors, in order to orientate projected video elements in real time. On a white background, black arrows move around looking for a body at which to point. A visitor arrives: the arrows descend upon her, following her movements, positioning themselves to literally trace them.
When the visitor disappears, the arrows are set free and bounce off in all directions, then begin a new quest for solicitation.
If a second person arrives, the arrows react immediately, splitting themselves between the two silhouettes or choosing to follow only one of them. This allows visitors endlessly to play: inciting, provoking and observing the behaviour of the arrows.
