Maflohé Passedouet
Maflohé Passedouet is an artist, scenographer, actress and performer. In 1998 she created Mobilis-Immobilis; a multidisciplinary company dedicated to contemporary art, multimedia, live performance and visual arts. She still leads the artistic direction of this company today.
Thanks to its perpetual dynamism and creativity, the company became recognised as a space for dance and digital art. Since its creation, it’s organized a number of multimedia shows performed in new media art and dance festivals in France and abroad.
Her choreographic research centres on the interrogation of the relations between the body and the newest digital technologies. The body - this natural interface which dynamically connects us to the world - was at the heart of her thought since her roots as an artist working primarily with plastic.
Maflohé collaborates with multidisciplinary professional artists and scientific researchers in order to open up the field to new artistic experiments and to gain insight into the relation between the body and technology. The artistic space is now envisaged as a laboratory in which present artistic disciplines converge with present scientific methods and techniques; integrating audial, visual, kinetic and magical elements.
The interactive scenographies interfaced with the body, become complex dynamic systems relating internal and external interactivities. In a rich and elaborate way, these systems engage new aesthetic forms and symbols of exchange; and in so doing, give us an enhanced sensual experience.
